Grand Army Plaza Grand Ring, sited at the center of New York’s most populous borough, separates the traffic in to two independent layers: one for cars, one for people. The car layer is simplified to direct traffic more seamlessly while a new public park space is created above to serve the array of communities surrounding the plaza.
